Deaf-initely Different

“The whole concept of celebrity pisses me off. While I’m not a celebrity, it’s such a weird concept that society has cooked up for us. Astronauts and teachers are much more amazing than actors.”

I kind of love him for saying this. I mean, I love him in general, but even more for saying this. Not because I don’t think he deserves the fame and money. I do. But I also think actors and professional sports players make an obscene amount of money. I think they should be paid a lot, yes. But making MILLIONS on ONE MOVIE seem like… decadence and extravagance to the extreme.  I just don’t understand it. 

And of course, the fact that he says teachers are amazing gives me the warm and fuzzies. 

In case you didn’t know, teachers make SHIT money. 

Seriously.

This past year I worked at a college and a university.
I taught roughly a dozen classes.
My brother who was a shift manager at a Game Stop made more money than me………..
