Jealous!! I wish this ass-backward state had one!! Is this for mentors for students? Or families? Or interpreters? (yeah, none of the above here pfft)
It’s for Deaf people to mentor ASL students. That’s what most of the Deaf Mentor workshops I have been to are for. The other one I went to was in St. Paul- it was a week long ASL Immersion workshop (for the students) paired with a Deaf Mentor workshop for us. We had lessons during the week too- about idioms, medial interpreting, etc. that we all took together. We went to the art museum and the zoo as well! It was a lot of fun! This one is going to be much shorter, but it will be awesome to meet some more Deaf in my area. c:
